Zakuhin Mo Mukha Mo!!!

MechaPinoy is starting the year with their first in-house contest aimed at encouraging modelers to go all out in modding any Zaku kit, I was tempted to join. So I go whip out the pre-HGUC Zaku Kai that I had sitting around for sometime now... Hopefully, I ain't setting myself up for another project that'll end up as a yet-to-be-completed kit. Again..

I really liked War in the Pocket. It was a well-rounded story: excellent plot complemented by excellent characters. Not to mention Yutaka Izubuchi churned out all those nice MS designs! The Zaku Kai is one of two Zaku designs that I really like; the other being the Zaku F2.

When the HGUC Zaku Kai was announced, I thought my pre-HGUC kit is as good as scrap. Luckily, it was not the case! :) IMO, the new mold didn't fall that far from the original. So I suppose with a few mods here and there, it'll be pretty close to its HGUC cousin.

ENOUGH TALK!

This is what I want to do to the Zaku Kai. What do you think? Photobucket Photobucket

  2. Thanks!

I'll be using the standard head, the only mod will be the nozzle. :)
