I'll have to put this on ice for now. The detailing is taking longer than expected and I don't have the time to work on it just yet because of my workload in the office.

1/144 ZGMF-1000[H] Hunter Zaku [p02]

Torso updates:

Right and left shoulder armours have been shapped. Just needs to be refined. Fin was added (which I'll be replacing later on...)

SD RX-121-2A Gundam TR-1 [Advanced Hazel]

START DATE: ca. November 2009

I got the SD GM Custom a while back (around 3 years ago, if memory serves me right). I had since planned to convert the GM Custom to an SD Advanced Hazel. Never got around to it until around a couple of months ago. Wanted to join an SD contest with this but it seems like work will always get the better of me.

Here are some WIP photos:

1/144 ZGMF-1000[H] Hunter Zaku [p01]

START DATE: 19th October 2008, 14:23h

This'll be my second WIP. The first is still pending completion. What's the result of 6 months being a bum in the company of a PSP? Zaku Warrior ala Monster Hunter. :P

Moster Hunter places you in the role of a novice hunter who, in the quest for fame and glory, must accomplish various quests. These quests will unlock various armors and weapons; these and other items are created from the remains of slain monsters by carving off their horns, scales and bones. The idea was (and still is) to create a swordie and a gunner. This WIP is for the Blademaster; I have another FG Zaku Blaze that I plan to use as the base kit for the Gunner.

The base kit is a FG Zaku Gunner Lunamaria custom. I've sketched a design and I'm making improvements & changes as the build goes.

Let's begin!

First, the chest and torso. The collar was extended, and the torso "trimmed":

My initial design for one (of two) swords:

1/144 MMS-01 (OZ-17MS) Serpent Kai [p02]

Here's what precious little I've finished so far:

1. Added a blade as a tribute to the anime Gundam Heavyarms. Swings back when not in use:

2. A "gun pod" will go on the left shoulder, still unfinished:

* Scrapped! For now.

3. A couple of pics of the leg:

* I wanted to deepen the panels on the leg but it was too tedious to scribe panels. So I borrowed an idea to cut-out the panels and add plaplates from the inside. (Thanks Puffer Fiz!)
* Beefed up the knee armour, inspired by the Dom Funf. Will need puttying and lots of cleaning though, mainly because of the superglue glop (had a minor accident).

4. I initially wanted to add planet defensers on the left shoulder, just like the Virgo's. Threw that idea away because this grunt may look to super for its own good. So I just puttied it ala-Zaku.

5. Added some detail to the chest:

6. Beefed up the sword as Cyclone X suggested:

7. Missile launchers on the right shoulder:

8. Also came up with a backpack:

* This part took me the longest to build. Basically got the aft portion of a 1/144 F-15 fuselage (the ventral half to be exact) then slapped styrene all over it. :D

* I tried to simulate thrusters on the inside, barely noticable though:

9. I've always wanted a BFG for a grunt so I chopped up the beam cannon and slapped on the gattling and a scratched big bore cannon...

* Which now looks like this:

* The orange thingy is the cap from Tamiya's putty. It's supposed to be the ammo cap or something, like Katoki's Wing Zero's.
